OFF THE CUFF THEATRE COMPANY LTD. has recently been granted the licence by the International TheatreSports Institute to perform and teach THEATRESPORTS® in London.  Off the Cuff is now running some free workshops and will produce regular THEATRESPORTS® nights at Kick Stage in Hoxton.

What’s THEATRESPORTS®?

A 90 minute (or less) competitive improvisation evening that punishes the performers for the audience’s pleasure.  By taking familiar genres, styles and games, improvisers push the limits (and their meagre talents) to the edge.  Each match is overseen by judges who can slap the improvisers (sometimes literally) with penalties or reward them with bonuses as they see fit.  And round after gruelling round, the audience votes for the best scenes, player(s), put downs, send ups, wit, verve, vigour and ultimately the best team!

FREE THEATRESPORTS® WORKSHOP

A free afternoon session will be given by Off the Cuff & Squeeky Feetz on the principle concepts of THEATRESPORTS® for any level of performer.  All that’s required is a thirst for play and comfortable clothing. If you are interested in testing and sharpening your improvisational skills, here are the details:
